For the 2005-06 school year, SchoolCARE is funding over $300,000 in teaching positions and student services. These include reading specialists and classroom/library aides at the three elementary schools; library, elective courses and counseling services at AMS; and elective courses, theater production and musical direction, and writing coaching at AHS; and counseling at Mac High.

Main wish list items for the coming school year include:
Reading specialists, classroom and library aides, and math/science specialists at Cornell, Ocean View and Marin.
Electives, counseling, student services at AMS
College and career advising, electives, student services at AHS and Mac High.

Here is what SchoolCARE has funded in prior years:
2004-05 – Over $275,000
Elementary: Reading specialists, library and classroom aides
AMS: Electives in drama, art, dance, technology, counseling
AHS: Electives and writing coaching, student services

2003-04: Over $275,000
Elementary: Reading specialists, library and classroom aides
AMS: Electives, librarian, counseling, choir
AHS: Electives, assistant principal for student services, athletic director, writing coaching, music stipends

2002-03: Over $225,000
Elementary: Science specialists, visual and performing arts, library services
AMS: electives, librarian
AHS: electives, assistant principal, technology support

2001-02: Over $165,000
Elementary: Science specialists, visual and performing arts
AMS: Counselor, noontime activities, sports coordinators
AHS: Electives, assistant principal for student services
