Our kids are counting on you!
SchoolCARE just completed our annual Phone-a-thon. A huge “THANKS!” goes out to all of our dedicated, hard working volunteers. You know who you are! Parents, students, teachers, school board members, and even Superintendent Marla Stephenson. But of course, the biggest “thanks” goes to all of you who answered the call, dug deep, and voted with your wallets, checkbooks and credit cards. We are SO grateful to our faithful donors!
We realize that not everyone was able to give directly over the phone. Some people needed to talk to their spouses and partners, look over their finances, find their payment envelope, or check our website for more information. PLEASE, take a moment today to follow up on your commitment. Donating is easy! Click on the “Donate Now” button.
This year, the Albany School District is COUNTING on SchoolCARE to raise $300,000 to preserve teachers, counselors and aides who are working with our students. If we weren’t able to reach you directly, we still need you to do your part! Even if you’re one of the many families facing financial challenges, we’re hoping for your participation at any level you can manage. Even $5 -$10 per month can be a significant gift over the course of a year.
Our children only get one chance to go through school. Let’s help them the education they deserve!
For the 2009-10 school year we are providing over $300,000 in support, paying for:
